2. Is it necessary for us to admit as inpatient in the Hospital for IVF treatment ?
Ans : It is not. You can get the treatment by visiting our clinic from out side too. |
3. We are ready for IVF treatment What are your suggestions ?
Ans : If your are ready for IVF we suggest you as follows.
- onsider the first day of the bleeding as day one and attend to the clinic between 18th to 24th day. Preferably on the 21st day for one day stay at Visakhapatnam.

The Blood tests for the male and female partners and the semen freezing test for the male partner will be performed. There should be two days abstinence period before you attend to the clinic.

Depending on the Blood report, scan will be
performed. If the scan is normal Triptoretein injection will be administered. ‘After the injection they can have normal life at home and return after 14 days. This time they should stay at Visakhapatnam for 17 days for the next treatment schedule.

4. Will there be any side effects for IVF procedure?
Ans: The side effects would be ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple pregnancies. |
5. Is there any guarantee for getting pregnancy with IVF Test?
Ans: No. the chances of getting pregnancy is around 35% for couples having age less than 35 yrs and 25% for more than 35 yrs of age. |
6. Will the treatment be stopped at any time during the mid cycle?
Ans: Yes. On day 4 and day 6 of the hormonal stimulation if the follicle growth is less or E2 levels are less then the cycle will be stopped. |
7. Is the oocyte retrival painful? Do you give general anaesthesia ? Can I go home after oocyte retrival and attend to my normal works?
Ans: The main procedure involved in IVF is the egg retrieval. Patients will asleep during this procedure and are cared for by anesthesiologists. The procedure is known as unconscious sedation which is not a general anesthetic. Patients are not awake, they have no pain with this procedure and they wake up very quickly with the egg retrieval lasting 10-15 minutes. Then can go home after oocyte retrieval and can attend normal works next day onwards. |
8. What are the precautions I have to take after embryo transfer? When should I come for confirmation of pregnancy?
Ans : Rest, and abstinence for two weeks You should come on 14th day after embryo transfer for pregnancy test. |
9. Is it necessary for us to be in fasting for scan and injection ?
Ans : No need for fasting. You can come after taking breakfast or milk. |
10. What type of food shall I take after IVF ?
Ans : There are no food restrictions after IVF treatment. Normal diet can be continued. |
11. Can we attend to our normal sex after embryo transfer ?
Ans : After embryo transfer abstinence or 6 weeks is absolutely necessary. |
12. Is a complete bed rest required after embryo transfer ?
Ans : Not absolutely required. However we advise restricted activities of work and movement to avoid infections. |
13. What drugs I should not take before and after embryo transfer ?
Ans : You have to take any drugs only with the consultation of your physician who treats you. |
14.Can we know the pregnancy at the stage of blood test or injection ?
Ans : The pregnancy test will be conducted after 14 daysfrom the day of Embryo transfer or ET The injection will begiven to ascertain the normal improvement of the eggs. |
15. Is it essential to get treatment at your clinic after pregnancy ?
Ans : No need. You can take treatment anywhere you like after confirmation of pregnancy. |
16. Can I get normal delivery after IVF treatment? Is caesarian operation compulsory always ?
Ans : Yes. The pregnancy after IVF treatment is like normal pregnancy. We don’t do caesarian operation as a routine unless and otherwise warranted. |
17. The amount you charges is till delivery or up to blood test stage ?
Ans : The amount you pay is for medicines and procedure. The charges after confirmation of pregnancy are extra. |
18. I come to know from my doctor that the sperms in my semen are very less. Is there any medication to increase sperm count. ?
Ans : Maturation of Spermatazoa takes approximately 72 days. In human beings sperm count will be in varying degree. Hence it is required 2-3 times repeated testing. Only on repeated testing treatment will be decided. There are no medications to improve sperm counts. If motility and count is less, ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) is performed through an instrument called Micro manipulator. If there is obstruction in passage of sperms. (Obstructive Azoospermia)- through TESE - Testicular Sperm Extraction, Sperms are taken and ICSI can be performed. |
19.What is the maximum age that you treat?
Ans: We treat women up to 41/42 years of age. |
20. Is the clinic registered with any regulatory body?
Ans: We are registered with the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR) and ESHRE PGD Consortium (European society of human reproduction Pre implantation genetic diagnosis) (Center code: “103”). |
